Kristin Fisher will join CNN in 2021. She will be the Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she covers everything from NASA and the recently created Space Force, to commercial space firms and the emergence to space tourism. Kristin is her mother was one of NASA astronauts and an avid space fan, grew up immersed in the field. She served for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Biden and Trump administrations. During that time, she also reported on two presidential impeachment trials as well as the 2020 presidential campaign and two administration's efforts to contain the spread of coronavirus. The reporter also traveled extensively with the Vice President and President of the United States and was a part of a classified visit to Afghanistan with former President Donald Trump. Before becoming a part of the company in, Kristin spent nearly a 10 years working her way up through the local news channels including Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded an Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the city's CBS affiliate. Kristin as an experienced filmmaker, established Field Mouse Films, a company that specializes in documentary-style films for companies such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science Diploma in Journalism from Boston University. Kristin is married with a daughter, and their three-year-old son in Washington, D.C.
